This blog is maintained by me, Ambariyanto, better known as Gum.

A man, a husband, a son, a brother, a friend. Maried to a lovely caring woman, Intan Larasati and currently living in our beautiful small house in southern Jakarta.

Since I’m Indonesian (and a proud one), I mostly write in Indonesian language, although sometimes (rarely, though) I write in English or Javanese.

Why Tiyang Sae?
In Javanese, Tiyang Sae means ‘nice/good person’. Kulo Tiyang Sae means ‘I’m a nice/good person’. That’s what I have been obsessed to, simply to become a good person.

Why Gum?
Gum is a nickname my best friend gave me back in my junior high school days because at that time I had the same haircut as Forrest Gump, a movie character portrayed by Tom Hanks in 1994. I have been using that name ever since (yeah, go imagine me with that haircut).
